The Vauxhall Movano has been awarded the Best New Van award at the Fleet World Honours this week.

The Vauxhall Movano and Renault Master van – both rebadged versions of the same van – were named the Best New Van at a ceremony at the Royal Automobile Club, London in 18 May.

Vauxhall won the award for the second generation of the Van, which judges described as a ‘significant improvement’ over the outgoing model.

The judges, made up of journalists from Fleet World magazine, praised the driver environment and ‘excellent’ engine range taken from passenger cars and the Vivaro van.

Van Fleet World Editor, John Kendall, highlighted the wide range of choice in the range. He said: “r more competitive than before with a broader range and exceeds the 3,500kg GVW limit for the first time for these models - necessary in the 17-seat minibus sector.’

Vauxhall Commercial Vehicle Brand Manager Steve Bryant, said: “Vauxhall is committed to the on-going strengthening of its commercial vehicle offering and escalating its activities in an area where it has an impressive tradition and proven expertise.

“The Van Fleet World Honours award of ‘Best New Van’ for the freshly-launched Movano is a prized acknowledgment of our determination to offer the best CVs to our customers."
