Peugeot posted an increase in van registrations in April 2010, compared to the same month in 2009.

LCV sales were up by 12.2 per cent in a market up six per cent, as confidence grows in the economic recovery.

Year-on-year light commercial sales are up by a significant 51 per cent, while the overall market is up 11.1 per cent.

Strong LCV sales means Peugeot is ahead of Citroen and Renault in terms of French van sales in the UK market

The French manufacturer also has the the highest volume increase out of all the top five commercial vehicle manufacturers.

14,891 vans were sold overall in April, with 70,106 light commercial sales in the UK year-to-date.

Ford and Vauxhall remain by far the most popular light commercial manufacturers, with almost 50 per cent of all van sales between them in April.
