Van sales will rocket next month with the introduction of the 60-plate, according to BCA (British Car Auctions).

With the average van value currently standing at £4,112 - over £500 less than last April when values reached record levels at £4,633 - prices are at lowest they’ve been all year.

This, says BCA General Manager, Commercial Vehicles Duncan Ward, ‘should be judged as typical seasonality’: “The summer months are traditionally quiet in terms of wholesale churn and this impacts directly on price."

BCA believes the rush to avoid the VAT hike in January, as well as special manufacturer deals next month, will result in a rise in van average prices and sales.

One manufacturer set to offer great deals next month is Citroen, which is celebrating with Super September deals on selected Berlingo models. Peugeot is also showcasing great deals across its vehicle range.
