Renault and Mercedes to collaborate on vans
Renault has announced that it will collaborate with Mercedes to build a new range of light commercial vehicles from 2012.
Renault will assist Mercedes in building a new small van, similar to the Kangoo, which will be produced at the Renault plant in Maubeuge, France where Renault is currently building an electric version of the Kangoo.
Renault will also provide Mercedes with small diesel engine and transmission technology for use in mid-size CVs.
Renault currently boasts the small Kangoo, mid-size Master and large Trafic vans in its commercial vehicle range.
