Peugeot records strong LCV sales

Peugeot light commercial vehicle sales were up by over 40 per cent in March 2010, leading to an 8.55 per cent market share for the first quarter of the year.
Peugueot sold 2,632 light commercial vehicles in an LCV market up 16.1 per cnet, following impressive performances in January and February this year.
The Peugeot Bipper and the new Peugeot Partner have both reported strong sales growth in March, due to downsizing buyers looking for a balance of fuel efficiency and actual load carrying needs.
Peugeot also won a recent contract to provide the Royal Mail with 2,000 Peugeot Bipper vans, powered by 1.4-litre HDi 70 diesel engines and emitting 119 kg/km of CO2.
The Peugeot Bipper can provide a load capacity of up to 2.8 m3 when specified with the multi-flex passenger seat and a combined fuel consumption of 62.7 mpg.
Sales of the Peugeots Partner van also continue to go from strength to strength with sales up 35.1 per cent in the first quarter, compared to 2009.
