Palace chooses Ford Transit

Hampton Court Palace has taken delivery of three new Ford Transit vans to keep gardening staff on top of the job.
This brings the total number of Ford Transits owned by the palace to four and each is being used for general gardening and landscape duties as well as providing stock to retail outlets. Each Transit is amply livered with the colours of the palace.
Graham Dillamore, gardens and estates operations manager for Historic Royal Palaces said: “We chose the Transit because of its ready availability, ease of maintenance and staff familiarity."
The Ford Transit is currently produced in the UK at the Southampton plant, although production will move to Turkey when the next generation model is introduced in 2012.
Dinnages commercial manager Mike Boden commented: “Dinnages is celebrating its 75th anniversary, and the Transit its 45th anniversary, so the timing is very appropriate."
The Ford Transit range comprises the Connect, Minibus, Double Cab-in-Van, Chassis Cab and the original Transit panel van.
The range starts at £13,450 for the Ford Transit Connect.
