Land Rover sales soar in June


Land Rover sales rocketed in June, with the Discovery recording the biggest improvement.
Sales in June were up 40 per cent to 3,417 on the same period in 2009.
This topped off a very successful six months for Land Rover, which has sold 24,166 vehicles since 1 January.
The Discovery range was the strongest performer showing a 144 per cent improvement in UK vehicle registrations. The Discovery is one of the most popular vehicles in its class and boasts a frugal 3.0 litre TDV6 diesel engine.
Land Rover also recently scored 836 points in the JD Power Survey, which saw the company finish in fifth place – a four-place improvement on 2009.
The Land Rover Discovery, fitted with a manual gearbox as well as the previously mentioned V6 engine, is available for £31,010. An automatic transmission-equipped model is also available and is priced at £32,515.
