Help for Heroes supported by Vauxhall Vivaro

A Vauxhall Vivaro panel van has been converted into a charity fundraising van to support the ‘Drive for Heroes’ tour.
The Vivaro van, built in Luton, has been dressed in Help for Heroes livery and graphics and will assist fundraisers on a two-week tour of the UK to collect funds raised by Vauxhall dealers for the Help for Heroes campaign.
The campaign is designed to support soldiers injured during their time in the UK armed forces, and Vauxhall’s Vivaro Sportive Double Cab 2.0 CDTi has shown its versatility and carrying capacity by being chosen to collect the 17 contributions from Vauxhall retailers.
In total, £50,000 has been raised after four months, and the Vivaro van – or Vivaro Vault as it will be known – will be used to raise awareness as it travels the country.
Vauxhall’s Managing Director, Duncan Aldred, said: “Vauxhall has had a strong association with the armed forces, from supplying vehicles during both World Wars to our current support for active servicemen and women. Vauxhall is proud of its employees and retailers who are continuing to support combat personnel through Help for Heroes."
The Vivaro van set off on the tour today and was given a send-off by Aldred and Derek Derenalagi, a servicemen who lost both legs in Afghanistan and who has since benefitted from the support of Help for Heroes.
Help for Heroes’ Sarah Walker said: “Vauxhall’s support in these first four months of the partnership has been a real boon for Help for Heroes. Help for Heroes is grateful for all Vauxhall’s assistance."
The tour started in Luton, home of the Vauxhall Vivaro van.
