Ford vans benefit from MirrorNavi option
Ford has released the MirrorNavi satellite navigation and rear view mirror system for commercial vehicles.
MirrorNavi replaces the original rear view mirror and has been specially designed so drivers can see the navigation while checking the rear view.
Available with Ford’s commercial vehicle range – which includes the Transit, Fiestavan and Transit Connect – MirrorNavi can be fitted in an hour and is mounted without any visible wires.
MirrorNavi is made by Garmin and Wollnikom and features a 3.5-inch touch-screen colour display, an internal memory and card slot, 2D or 3D map display, destination memory, EcoRoute, and maps and voice response for over 70 countries and languages.
It also has tinted and dimming mirror glass, battery charging connection and anti-theft security.
Ford, as well as insurance companies, believes that as it doesn’t leave suction cup marks on the windscreen, it is less likely to alert opportunist thieves.
MirrorNavi is available now and is priced at £299, while Ford’s flagship Transit range starts from £17,155.
