Ford releases safer, lighter Transit Tipper
Ford has released a new version of the UK’s best-selling tipper van, the Ford One Stop Shop Transit Tipper.
After listening to customer’s operational concerns as part of the One Stop Shop programme, Ford has targeted three specific areas of the tipper: Productivity; safety; and cost of ownership.
Ford has significantly reduced the weight of the single and double cab models by 51kg and 40kg without impacting upon performance, strength or durability. The loading deck height has also been reduced by 40mm and the control gear redesigned and simplified – improving productivity.
For additional safety, a sequenced hydraulic cam holds the body in the stowed position – helping to stabilise the body under adverse loading conditions. The new tipper is also TUV approved to demonstrate independent verification of the Conformite Europeene (CE) certificate.
To lower the cost of ownership, Ford has fitted the tipper with maintenance-free self-lubricating Delrin bearings and offers a full range of purpose designed options including everything from reversing sensors to handwash units.
The Ford Transit One Stop Shop Tipper is available now from £26,726.
