Ford helps drivers save fuel, money
Ford has joined forces with AA DriveTech to offer the Econo Driver Training course; fuel economy tuition for Econo Check customers.
As part of the Econo Check programme, vehicles are fitted with a data logger that monitors driver style and fuel economy for seven days. A personal report is then produced, which highlights the areas were economic improvements could be made.
In the Econo Driver Training course, AA DriveTech instructors help drivers become more efficient in these areas - which include speed, anticipation, braking and gear changing – to ultimately save money and reduce emissions.
Ford and AA DriveTech also promise that customers will see the benefits of a relaxed driving style and experience reduced stress behind the wheel. A Highway Code update is too included.
Only a selection of Ford vehicles registered after 1998 can partake in the course, including: 2006-2010 Transit models; 2009-2010 Transit Connect models; 2002-2009 petrol Connect models; and 2004-2009 diesel Connect models.
Customers can book a 90-minute one-to-one Econo Driving Training course for £79.99. Training is provided throughout the UK.
