Ford dominates used van awards

Ford vans have been named as the best choice in the used market after taking three out of five titles in the CAP vehicle Used Van awards.
Used vehicle expert CAP looked at three year-old vans which had travelled 60,000 miles to choose the best based on a range of criteria.
This included value, specifications, reliability, image and the professionalism of the dealer network as well as how versatile the range was.
The big winner was the Ford Transit, which took the prestigious 'Best Large Van' award ahead of competition from the likes of the Vauxhall Movano and Renault Master.
The Ford Transit was praised by judges, who said the Transit was: "Ubiquitous and drives improvement across the whole market by setting the standard for others to aim for."
All vans were assessed throughout 2011 on the used van market and the Ford Transit was an unsurprising winner in a second category, Best Minibus.
Judges said the Ford Transit Minibus offers: "Enviable heritage and trust - the name says it all."
A third winner from the Ford line up, the Ford Fiesta Van, took the best hatchback van award after fending off competition from the Vauxhall Corsa Van.
Judges said of the Ford Fiesta Van: "In its 5th generation and still a class leader in all respects."
The trio of Ford vans were voted for by four CAP experts on used vans, including Senior Editor of Commercial Vehicles, John Watts.
According to CAP: "Unlike other van awards, the CAP Used Van of the Year is designed to acknowledge all-round excellence from the perspective of everyone touched by the vehicle, including private owners, company van drivers, fleet operators and even used van dealers themselves."
