CV Operators Show a 'resounding success'

The Commercial Vehicle Operator show has been hailed a ‘resounding’ success after nearly 9,500 people passed through the doors over three days.
Official visitor figures released today shows 9,452 visited the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham to see commercial vehicles from Vauxhall, Ford, Renault, Citroen and Fiat amongst others.
Vans such as the new Vauxhall Movano and Ford Transit Connect were attracted the crowds and a prestigious award ceremony helped to increase visitor levels.
Geoff Dunning, Chief Executive of Show Partner the Road Haulage Association, said: “Today we received the official audited figures that put the Show’s visitor number at an outstanding 9,452.
“The Show Partners were never in any doubt that this Show would be a success and these figures just confirm it."
Dunning said the figures showed the industry was in good shape despite the economic problems of the past 12 months, and he expects more visitors next year.
“Considering the economic climate over the past 12 months, I’m sure I am not alone in feeling even more optimistic for the 2011 CV Show," he added.
