Commercial vehicles drive Fiat sales

Fiat has stated that increasing demand for commercial vehicles is the reason behind its highly successful second quarter of 2010.
Fiat’s LCV range, which comprises the Doblo, Ducato, Fiorino, Grande Punto and Scudo, was instrumental in pushing trade profits in the second quarter to over 650 million Euros (almost £550m) – more than double what it was at the same period last year.
Smashing expectations, sales of this LCV range increased by around 30 per cent; and the company is forecasting another surge of sales in this segment in the mid-term future.
Net revenues were up to 14.8 billion Euros while overall profit was at 113 million Euros – both huge increases from the same period in 2009.
The Fiat Doblo, Ducato, Fiorino, Grande Punto and Scudo are priced from £11,305, £17,585, £9,175 £9,785 and £15,115 respectively.
