The Citroen Nemo was named the UK’s Most Economical Van at the Fleet World MPG Marathon last week for a third consecutive year.

Driven by John Kendall, with co-driver Dr. Paul Nieuwenhuis, the Citroen Nemo beat every other LCV that competed in the demanding 399.4 mile event.

The Nemo 1.4HDi van managed to exceed its official combined cycle fuel consumption figure of 64.2mpg by 27.62 per cent to return 81.93mpg.

Kendall commented: “This year’s event certainly showed that the Citroen Nemo van is very fuel efficient on all of types of roads and in all driving conditions.

Citroen UK’s Commercial Vehicle Operations Manager added: “The Nemo’s outstanding fuel consumption figures are particularly relevant when fuel prices are at such high levels."

The frugal Citroen Nemo combines low operating costs with a high 610kg payload and starts from £9,165 + VAT.
